That wheel is spotless:thumbup:

No brushes or specialist wheel products used, just a micro-fiber sponge and what was left in the bucket after I'd done the rest of the car :o

(I'm no detailer)

I use all sorts of gunk on my wheels to get them that clean

Its time my wheels came off for a proper cleaning

but like you im no detailer

So i cant see that happening in the near future

The only time my wheels come off is if the tyres need changeing or I get a puncture :o

Smart  Last I knew you had a Golf!

I'm sure I've seen that car recently :D looking clean though

Well it is now I've removed all that Wiltshire mud and dust

Plenty more of it down here

The vRS estate (especially in silver) is a fine looking stealth car

Lovely looking car John.

I think I would try and get some chrome roof railsor body coloureded would look good.

Looking nice that, good job. I'm like you just using whats left from washing the body to do the wheel, always does the job.

A very fine looking vehicle

Just been a play around in MS Paint, quite like this one :)

Anyone know how to make a neater job of blanking number plates rather than the 'spray can' effect?

I use Photoshop here John - select the area of the plate, or use the Lasso if it's at an angle. Take the colour picker tool from elsewhere on the plate to get an accurate match. Then use the spray can. Because you've selected an area it won't affect the rest of the image. So you don't get 'overspray' etc.

HTH,

Steve

Has '2009 callendar' potential that one :)

Looks absolutly stunning!!! Estate really does look the part. Good work... and those wheels!!! Nealy two years old and not a mark... how!!!!

Am so supprised with 'hot estates' being the thing as to why Vdub havn't done a GTI estate or R32 estate, expecially as R36 passat will come in Saloon/Estate forms.

With the number plate problem I copy an area of the plate that is blank then paste it over the numbers and letters. It seems to work well and is a perfect colour match.

HTH.

Looking good. I like that shopped pic too

Strange as it may seem, but that is the first silver MKII combi

I have seen. Looks well though :)

It's not strange, I have yet to see another one on the road, and a quick scan of the Oct II VRS register seems to suggest I am the only member on here with a Silver TFSI Estate...

Thing is though it's a silver VAG Estate, how many silver VW and Audi Estates (Passats, A4's etc..) do you see on the roads every day... loads

Maybe they are the ultimate "stealth car" (just like Bond's invisible Aston ) as I have yet to have a "was it you" sighting despite raking up 3000 miles in 2 months a lot of which has been spent on the M6, M5, M4 as well as currently living/working in an area with quite a few Briskodians
