Need a bit of advice has anybody swapped the standard front seats on vrs for aftermarket, if so what probs faced and any advice wellcome.

S3/A3 seats will fit

Prices going from £600 + (You will need the loom if you want the heaters in the seats to work £60+)

R32 seats will fit £1200+ :eek:

Fitted Golf leather Recaros in my Octy 1, same as the R32 but without the R32 badge (IMO looks silly in anything except a R32)

Bought the complete front & rear seats for 1000 off the Mk4 forum You could also get a bit for your old seats to offset it

Any VAG car that shares the Mk iv platform will fit

mine are the early type black with blue inserts (non recaro), early type meaning the side bolsters are not the square type if you know what i mean, they were a bargain price of £87 off ebay, complete with front side airbags in the seat which i needed as the elegance has these as standard, the only thing i need to do was get a lap belt for the middle rear seat as they dont have the middle belt built in, the only damage is a small burn in the rear bench and so slight frayying, but compared to my 100k elegance standard jobbies they were in great nic, ill see if i can dig up a photo

The post above you answer all the questions mate

You will find that the airbag light will come on as the VRS seats do not have airbags, and the sensors will pick this up...

If your car has OE side airbags and the seats you fit dont then it will know they are unplugged and bring the light on. If your car doesnt have side airbags and you fit a set of seatthat do it wont matter.
