Does anyone know if there is a lifespan to vw coolant, and whan it would have to be changed?

The dealers did mine at 40 k and advised either every 2 years or max 40 k . which was also the timespan for chan gimg the Brake Fluid as well . just an indicator .

I thought the coolant was something like 4 years as its the red/orange stuff unlike the blue stuff which needed changing more often.

It's not even listed in the service schedule, unlike the brake fluid.

I'd go with 4 years. No sign of any corrosion issues in the system on mine, which was changed on 4 years (about 68_000 miles covered).

I've actually bought conforming to G12 / G12 plus specs (vw red / lilac), and on the container it recommends every 5 years.
