Cupra or Powerflex Bushes????

Featured Replies

I am going to change the bushes on my wishbones in the next few weeks I have already purchased a pair of front bushes which are Powerflex & I have decided whilst I'm doing the job I may as well do the rears as well.

I have seen that powerflex advertise bushes for the rear as well which look easier to fit than Cupra items, so apart form the benefits of cost are the powerflex ones any good in the rear & has anyone fitted them?

Go for the Cupra ones.

The powerflex rear fit inside the oem bushes but as many have found including myself if the oem bush is already worn then the powerflex will work there way loose and fall out.

how much are the cupra one guys for the front and back any part numbers and are they a big job to fit cheers

Sorry to be a grouch but this has been covered many many times, cost wise and fitting wise. The search utility should bring up a plethora of results. :)

That maybe so Chrispy but I was seeking an opinion that not a 'how to' on the job itself, as for the expense cupra bushes are around £10 each with vat & powerflex are around £50 for the pair, they do come in 2 separate pieces & I just wanted an informed opinion from someone who may have fitted them.

Sorry, wasn't referring to you....was talking to Clidgevrs as the question he asked has been referenced an awful lot. :)

Should've quoted his post in my reply. Apologies.

fit the Cupra bushes to the rear and the Powerflex to the front

go for the cupra bushes

Had a look at the powerflex 'udder' add ins for the rear bushes.....was not impressed. Unless the rear bush is in mint condition then the powerflex adapter thing will just fall out in no time. Also, the cost of them on top of having to fit new console bushes makes it completely unworthwhile. Just fit solid Cupra bushes on their own to the rear and proper powerflex bushes to the front of the wishbone for completeness.

And this site is going to the dogs because of it, ridicule the lazy don't pat them on the back and help.
