Felicia 1.6 power loss

Featured Replies

Hi,

W reg 38,000 experiences intermittent engine power loss which can be resored by backing off throttle then reapplying. MAP sensor has been changed but problem still there - any ideas?:(

possible issue with overfuelling or the throttle body?

dirty throttle body can lead to all sorts of strange behaviour!

unless pinkskud has been having a shot... most of the the engines he drives end up as scrap:eek::rofl:

Mine had same problem for 3 years, problem only sorted after changing coolant sensor, mite be a good idea to change coil pack as well as these are prone to problems

coil pack part number 6n095104- available on ebay for about £35

re-built the last one i killed. but i think the coolant temp sender is dead. another bloody job to do.

but you right, i managed to send bits of an spi engine through the bonnet.

Check the catalyst hasn't collapsed internally and occasionally blocking the exhaust gasses passing through the rest of the exhaust system. Does it rattle?
