Roof Bars

Featured Replies

Can someone advise me about roofbars and /or roofracks on fabia vRS? Do I need to fit original bars from Skoda and then the rack to that , or can I just get a rack to fit direct to the roof ? Are most roof racks a universal fit or do they have to be specified to a particular model? Anyone had any problems with fitment and any suggestions on make of bars etc best suitable? Cheers....SAJNA

Hi

You do need specific roof bars for the Fabia.

I would recommend Thule kit, you need 3 parts, the bars, foot pack and fitting kit.

The bars and foot pack you can possibly use on different cars, the fitting kit will be Fabia specific.

Budget for around £100.00 all in.

Check out roofracks.co.uk which should tell you which parts you will need and usually a decent price.

Thule will be a better bet than Skoda only bars.

skoda do genuine roof bars for around £100, but i managed to get some second hand ones with a post in the wanted section on here! i believe they are manufactured by thule. they locate in two little slots in the roof strips. the bars come with locking covers so can be left on without having to worry about anyone nicking them.

I got roof bars and 3 bike holders from roofracks.co.uk made by thule with the locking covers, total cost £192.25 with next day delivery. The roofbars would cost you £102.40 with next day delivery.Cost of delivery is £10,well worth it.Hope this helps.

I recommend Thule too. The Aero bars look (relativity) cool, also
