Where can I get Cruise control fitted in Glasgow?

Featured Replies

Hi there this seems a good a place to ask this as any?

I have a Mk4 '07 SEAT Ibiza and was wondering if anyone knows of any garages in the Glasgow area that can retro fit cruise control. I've had a look at Fabia-vrs.com

I think that is way beyond my abilities and no one on SCN seems to know of any garages.

Star performance don't do it. Bedrock Veedubs don't do it either.

All help appreciated

Re star performance, it must just be as its a seat as they do it for the fabia vrs - dear though, which is why, like you, im looking for an alternative.

I use A for Audi in Clydebank, as far as I know he fits cruise control mate.

Try giving Andy a call, here is the website.

A for Audi - Audi & VW Specialist Glasgow

Good luck:)

I think it's slightly different for the Ibiza and there isn't much info around so I expect that's why not many people do it.

I know dealers are more expensive, but if you get totally stuck then you can get it retro fitted by Seat I would think. VW/Skoda dealers around here have signs up advertising the service for under £200.

A for Audi. The guy that does it comes up from London to do. it. He is coming in the next few weeks as I am arranging to have it installed at A4 when he's up.

I've tried SEAT W. Livingstone Ltd my closest main dealer, they don't do it. The other close dealers are Arnold Clark which i wouldn't touch. I've still to try the dealer out in EK.

If this is the guy that has an ebay shop Hazzy Dayz ? He doesn't do the Ibiza either.

Have you tried the Seat dealer in Stirling? They were very helpful when I had dealings with them in the past!

I have tried to get info from SEAT before about this but they don't seem to know or are unwilling to help. Several people ask me if I know how to do it but having not had one to play with I couldn't be 100% sure.

I know the stalk is different, it's a 1 peice setup but apart from that I'd wager the wiring would be very similar.

I refer you to this on SCN clicky might be some help to you cos i don't really know what's involved.

Yep I read that last year when it came out.

Like I said I think I have a rough idea of what they are doing but sadly not the wiring diagrams to be 100% sure.
