Help with windscreen. felicia

Featured Replies

Just had a stone hit my windscreen, caused a large crack, which cant be felt from either side of the glass, but is spliting along the inside.

Anyone got any idea whether this is gonna mean the windscreen is gonna need to be completely replaced, and if it is how much is the usual for a new R reg felicia windscreen.

THANKS

Its deffo guna need a new screen, dont know about price but if you are fully comp it should only cost about £60 screen exess

If not try and get one from a scrappy

It's also worth getting the seal renewed whichever option you go for as from reading through these forums it is apparent that a common problem is the seal leaking in time.

My garage replaced mine for £120, brand new. If getting a second hand one, a Favorit one will fit, but it won't have the blue tint standard on all of the Felicias. For the cost its probably worth getting a new one.

I left mine and tried putting it through an MOT - with no luck. I then got it replaced, but it was fine for 4 months, the crack did get bigger over time.

I'd be tempted to get the Favorit screen precisely because they're clear. I have sunglasses for sunny days, but don't have image intensifier ones for when it's dark! ;)

Good point - though you will notice the difference with a clear screen in, compared to all of the other windows which would be tinted.
