Best product???

Featured Replies

Which is the best product for scratch removal.

T-cut?

Opinions please....

Stay well clear of T-Cut it terrible!

Try Scratch X by Meguiars it's available from Halfords and if you work the product properly then it's great. Bit hard going if you're needing to do a large area.

There are other products but you would have to get them through an on line retailer.

Might help by giving more detail (and perhaps pics) of what you are trying to remove.

Is it one or two specific scratches, (and if so how big/deep are they) or are you looking more at swirl removal?

Just someone has keyed the wing, noticed it this morn but had to leave. Dont think its too deep.

Is your car metalic?

Try scratchX if that doesn't work then try either brasso wadding or T-Cut Metallic or the new nano tech one for colour.

These are much milder than the old T-cut but the scratch-X is finer and so will leave less maring to be polished out.

If it's really bad and you are going to need a respray then you could try some cutting compound as a last attempt. If you do this, be aware that rubbing too hard might take you straight through the top coat.

Not a problem.

If you haven't done it just use the smallest amount and give it a go then add a tiny bit more bit by bit if needed. If you have done it, how did it go?
