new exhaust

Featured Replies

hi all, i own a 2005 fabia sport and was wondering what the best performance exhaust is.... cheers all

Well ive got a Milltek cat back with a off the turbo magnex decat pipe on my vrs.

All stainless of corse. Depends how much you want to spend. If youve got a fair bit them maybe a blueflame??

depends what you're after - I hear that blueflame is the best-sounding/performing aftermarket one.

For totally hard-core free-flowing, and on the cheap too:rofl: you can't beat a decat and straight pipe (no back box).

I didn't do it myself but I hear that making the rear section bigger diameter pipe gives it a deeper sound....

I'm well-pleased with my straight pipe system - I know that there isn't any more efficient as far as performance.....

As far as sound - well I have the cabin sound-proofed. but even before it, it was fine as far as I'm concerned. And I do like to wind the windows down to hear the turbo and the exhaust......

Just my 2p worth....

Don't know for sure, but I think you'd have to do something to your rear bumper to fit a Fabia vRS-type exhaust, as the visible bit of the tailpipe on the Sport is purely cosmetic AIUI (the actual outlet points downwards and doesn't extend beyond the bumper)

What I'd like to know is: are Magnex really w4nk or something? Roadrunner can do a full system with de-cat downpipe for less than £300. Add a fitting charge and its 200 sheets cheaper than Miltek/Blueflame. Is there that much of a quality drop?

Anyone with real-world experience like to comment?

My mate had a magnex backbox on his renault megane

construction wise it was brilliant

but it blew like hell, think that more down to the monkeys at ATS that fitted it mind

Mines is u custom made stainless stell exhaust without the cat, has a nice wee grunt up through the 1st three gears:)

got to agree with basil though, you can't beat putting the windows down and listening to the turbo whine........espcially when its cold:)

i dont think there are any off the shelf exhausts for the sport everyone here is talking about the fabia vrs, which for starters is a diesel and a straight pipe on a petrol will be stupid loud, diesels you can get away with it, is it the 1.4 petrol or 1.2, your best bet will be custom made, gains will be minimal but do it for the sound :)
