accelerator cable just gone

Featured Replies

:mad:The accelerator cable on my Felicia has gone. Not to far from home which is one good thing. Anyone know the cost of one ? also is it a DIY job or will it have to go to a garage.

Cheers

Cable itself should be under £20. As for DIY or not a Haynes manual should describe the process.

lol thats a common one (well for me) i managed to fix mine up using some zip tyes and fishing line i had kicking around in the car.

but be prepaired if you call the dealer to try and get one cuz there are 6 differant lengths.

We managed to get my brothers car home yesterday afternoon by driving it at walking pace in 1st gear at idle speed. I have had a quick look and to change the cable looks fairly straight forward. The break in the cable appears to be at the pedal end rather than the middle.
