Hey guys im new to this forumi just picked up my first vrs in red and just had a few questions.What is a pd160 ( can u tell im new )?.Wat is the bulb fitment for a 2003 vrs ?.Im gettin a strange knocking sound coming from the front of the car when i tap on the accelerator, and when i go over bumps a certain way?.And any other effective mods, as im all standard apart from being lowered on koni springs with octy alloys.Cheers GuysHarry

pd160 is the larger air intake going from the slam panel to the airbox. its from an Ibiza mk4 cupra tdi. they used to cost around £40 from dealers. more now

bulb fitment is dipped: H7, main: H1, indicators: offset pin, sidelights: w5w

Your knocking sound could be a broken Anti Roll Bar or droplink.

now bud, you will get the most benefit from a pd160 air intake with a remap of your ECU, you can expect to get anything up to 180bhp and 330 ft of torque, but again if you do this you will need an uprated clutch, all depending on final torque figures

Assuming your vRS is the Fabia not Octy.

......"strange knocking noise".

The gearbox mount could be the source. This is a common problem and the fix is a liberal application of silicone grease. I had it done at the local dealers, under warranty. Incidentally, the dealerships know of this problem as Skoda UK issued an instruction sheet to the network.

Obviously, this might not be the source of your "knock" but worth mentioning, as it has affected quite a lot of the forum members' Fabia vRS's.

1 more thing is that its due a cam belt change and was wondering if anyone knows anywhere cheap in or around bristol

As i have been quoted 400pounds all in (water pump, tentioners, belt etc)
