Switching Aerial Amplifier On/Off

Featured Replies

My Symphony Radio/CD unit started suffering poor radio reception a few months ago. I put a voltmeter across the aerial connector (on rear of radio) and don't see the 12V DC needed to power the roof mounted aerial amplifier. If I use an adaptor to feed the 12V up the aerial lead then reception comes up good and strong.

I'm thinking I might have played with the Symphony controls at some point and accidently switched off the 12V feed to the roof mounted amplifier. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Cheers,

Dave.

Its definately possible with other radios/navi its in the same group as how many speakers,cd multichanger you have but i dont know of any method of changing it without vag com
