Standard or Uprated ARB

Featured Replies

i've read that people recommend uprating front and installing rear ARB's at the same time,

My problem is i need to replace the front with bushes but cant afford to do the rear at the same time.

Will prob take about a month or so to get the cash for the rear and the front is needing done now.

Any advice on which i should choose that wont affect the car too much for the month without the rear arb fitted?

Also which bars and bushes would be recommended for the mk1 vrs?

Thanks

Steve

Uprating the front will induce understeer best sticking with the skoda one which has been improved to stop the previous bush issues. Also I used superpro 19mm bushes when I got mine done as they cost roughly the same as the skoda rubber ones get them at VAG - Front - Anti Roll Bar to Chassis Bushes by PRI Racing Ltd. buy online as for the rear I have a whiteline adjustable which is the cheapest I believe but very good at doing its job

Dont suppose you have the part no for the std front ?

Will try get that this weekend to install on next day off!

I agree, leave the standard front ARB and just fit the rear. I've got the Neuspeed 28mm rear ARB which is a lot stronger than the whiteline and made a masive difference. Car turns in so much quicker and handles a lot better. Any rear ARB will make a big improvement tho. Makes me mad to think they didn't come with these as standard - they definately need them!
