Noisy?

Featured Replies

Had my new Vrs estate for a couple of days, first impression is that is is noisier than the old one, not road noise but what could best be desrcibed as a "boom" from the exhaust, any body else noticed this before i go back to the dealer?

Thanks

Yes, I applied Dynamat extreme to the rear boot area and spare wheel well.

Now much reduced.

It's worth getting your dealer to check it however in case it's a hole as mine was more of an annoying drone, although it is a hatch.

I found the same at the start, I was actually getting a pain in my head from it. Just got used to it, glad I never got a modded exhaust

I've had my '08 hatch vRS for 2 days now (including today). It seems noisier (boomier) than the test car I drove.

cheezemonkhai, where did you get the dynamat and roughly how much did it cost?

Was it pre cut for the Octy? If you had any pics that would be grand

Can't say I've ever noticed it!
