Irritating Vibrating Noise

Featured Replies

Well there is a low creaking/vibrating noise coming from inside the car. I have located it to be somewhere in the rear passenger side of the car, but cannot figure out what it may be.

Any guesses anyone, I can appeciate you cant actually hear anything! but has anyone else had and eliminated any unwanted sounds in the car? other than turning up the volume on the stereo. The sound is intermittent and increases when travelling on a bumpy surface.

Had the rear seats folded down recently?

Make sure they're clicked back in properly.

Had the same problem & it was the vertical piece of the rear seats which I had not folded down at all, the noise just sort of developed & it was the dealer who found it, aparently its a fairly common problem. He said he adjusted it but I think all they did was to whack the bent metal D shaped bracket that the seat clips to & that cured it.

Subsiquently it apeared on the other side & I temporarily fixed that about 6000 miles ago by wrapping electrical tape around the D bracket as I didnt have a hammer to hand & had you not posted I would have forgoten that it needs a whack !!

Also check that the plastic arch liner for the rear wheel arch has not come loose at the front, Ive had that as well, sounded like it was in the car
