..my mates call it the 'skodder' and are loatte to get in ..(Brilliant!).. I have a question.. i year on and its got a misfire when throttling or at steady high revs(2000 +) if this was my old bike I'de say it was the main jet.. ok strip down carb?.. not a carb it a bosch si unit.. ok pull off plate , inspect diaphram .. ok .. reassemble,, petroll all over tye place.. replace diaphram broket correct way up..

try to split carb by removing four allen bolts .. it wont split .. there are what looks like two screws with holes in the middle ( screw head about 6mm dia , middle hole about four, they start to break if i put a screwdriver into them so Ime here) ..anyone Know how to get to my main jets? .. Ive got a spare in my air filter! yours in hope. ffcat

:)Welcome.

There is another section of the forum for technical help, but I'm not a moderator so perhaps it's not my place to say. :)

Anyway, there are no main jets in the throttle body, just one fuel injector. It's unlikely that's the problem TBH, though anything's possible I guess. Your fault sounds more like ignition, ie spark plugs, HT leads, distributor cap rotor arm, coil ect. It's also important to check the valve clearances aren't too tight. The fuel filter is often neglected too and becomes blocked, mainly because it's hidden and fairly fiddly to do.

Good luck with it, and please let us know how it goes.
