i don't care, i'm moving house any day now :P

anyway what would they want with a broken octavia(engine and gearbox knackered), a vectra with no tax or mot or a 20 year old rusty mazda? :)

i just got an insurance quote on an RS4 and its only £500 fully comp for me and the girl friend :D

Buy one, buy one, buy one...

I would love one, can you tell?:D

Looking good there mate

Still wont be able to catch me :P

I feel all special now as i know garys seceret mod  All I can say is watch out

nice gary and i bet it goes well but 20K!!!

to be honest; for the money, I'd go for something pretty similar myself

Hey Ben, everyone knows your postcode now.......

if you get turds through the post, it wasn't me....

do you really think they'd get delivered with just "Bengie OX4 2JP" written on em - they have a hard enough time when stuff has the entire address :D

Bengie OX4 2JP

Hah, got im :D:thumbup:

As much as I respect the work, time and effort put into this car, I cannot personally justify the £20k price tag. My old Scooby cost me £16k to buy (1yo, 20k) and I blagged most of my mods off mates and 2nd hand. By the time I sold it it had IRO £4k (new prices) of mods and was jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring and down-right ball-achingly fast. I could enter corners at 3 figure speeds, on power, and it would pull through them accelerating all the way to some quite ridiculous speeds, in full control and refined composure. If I were to spend similar amounts now I could probably achieve even more for less money as the market for those cars is struggling and prices falling. My little Furby is quick, but to get the performance anywhere even close to a well sorted Scoob would be nigh-on impossible on a working mans budget, and when the Scoob can be had for the same money, why even try ? As I say, credit where it's due and I look forward to seeing its potential on track soon, but if it were my wallet I'd have spent it on an 06 JDM STi Spec C, or add £5k and get the ultimate of the last Scooby saloons, a Type RA-R, which would be nothing short of devastating on road or track against just about any other car on the planet. Even the new hatchback STi is worth considering as it has set new lap records at Tsubuka (or whatever it's called) against all previous Scoobs and even Evo's. Sorry, but that's my preference.

been there done that, scoobs were pedestrian in comparison to the skyline, now that car was mental;)

As for the peloquin atb,you have to re learn how to drive quick,it removes all torque steer once it grabs,so it goes foot down, spins, torque steer grabs blasts you towards the horizon,i am running more power too,so no probs there, when cornering you have to arrive way to fast, point the nose at the apex, when the car starts to understeer give it some power, and like magic the car ceases understeering and blasts you through the corner,i had speeds of up to 70mph showing on an average roundabout and couldn't make it lose composure, even with the arb your corner speeds would be 20% shy of mine,it is the best mod i have done so far,and i can't say this enough,YOUR FWD CAR NEEDS ONE OF THESE,and it wieghs in at under a grand supply and fit from jabba sport so is value for money too,in the wet in second once the diff grabed it removed all wheelspin, gtjunior wished he'd have got one as if he had he would probably be keeping his fabia:D

In the right hands ;) My measly 260bhp Scoob held its own against 400+bhp Scoobs, Evo's and others due to a combination of supreme chassis/handling products and the driver knowing how to use them. I do similar tricks keeping them all at bay in the Furby :D Can't argue about the mpg, but I only paid £570 to insure my Scoob, all mods declared, FC and protected. I also didn't get a single point in 3 years and 60k miles  Common sense dictates to me that I'd rather have some special performance icon for £20k than an ugly diesel hatchback.

i'd rather have a classic than this understeering mess, and i bet you couldn't get any insurance at all with 15 points on your liscience,i couldn't,my next toy will be a 95 ra,imho the ultimate in trackday toys, and a nice r34 gtr as a daily driver:D

see you on the 29th,i'm off to ultimate dubs now:D

Understeer is not an issue if you know what you're doing both chassis-wise, and as a driver. The RA-R above laps the 'Ring in under 8 minutes. Now THAT is a track car.

Is it just me or does the Scooby look pig ugly?

Nice work on the Fabia , it's the Pelloquin that interests me most though, considering the Quaiffe alternative for my Octy but it's the cost of it that's putting me off atm!

Corrado boy - I love the JDM Spec c and the RA-R, in white, yes please!!!!

This is a friend's old Spec at the 'Ring last year...

The Pelloquin sounds amazing Gary - who fitted it for you?

Hes at ultimate dubs, so ill answer this for him.

He got it fitted at JABBA, along with his other toys ;)

Aha! Thanks for that. I'll be at Jabba soon for the 30K service and considering a new exhaust..... :)

Smart looking car! even in the poor light. Look forward to some pics in daylight.

One question, I know yours is quite low. I've just brought the same wheels for my vrs and will soon be fitting coilovers, But after a quick try fit (with just eibach springs on) it looks like the car will look a lot better with the wheels spaced out 5mm (taking the offset from ET38 to ET33) Would you agree beings yours is already low?

Cheers

Neil

yep i agree, with the eibachs you could space them 15mm and they would lok the nuts:thumbup:mines a little low for spacing the wheels would foul the arch,i'm going to upload my ultimate dubs pics now, there are some good photo's in that lot,me and jason had a good day:D
