First of all STOP using internet explorer and use firefox :thumbup:

file association gone to ****?

Internet explorer invites viruses into your computer. Firefox actively blocks them.

Internet explorer can be unstable, Firefox is very stable.

And you can get Loads of plugins for Firefox. My favourite is the winamp plugin.

3 years on FF works well on most sites.

IE doesn't actively invite viruses. What you mean to say is it can run potentially harmless Active X controls which FF doesn't support.

Browsers don't infect computers it's users who just download and run without caution.

FF can be unstable at times. But I use it as my main browser as it's still better than IE

Opera is a fantastic browser too.

I'd say ditch Norton and get Zonealarm instead.

Opera is miles ahead then IE! - It sounds like Norton is being its normal great program.

I think if you bin Norton and get another better program you will find that helps. Oh also go:

Tools>>Internet Options>>Security>> Make sure it's not on "high" - blocking 'Less secure Features'

Hope this helps.
