Thinkin about changing the FUN out with a RS

Featured Replies

Hi

I am thinking about getting rid of my FUN, and buy a 2004/2005 Skoda Fabia RS.

Are there som things i need to look after?

Does some of the models have larger brakes than other?

What about oil viscositet and quality?

What about the xenon mounted on some of them, are that just in the low beam?

Here are 2 cars i am looking at:

Skoda Fabia 1,9 TDi 130 RS - brugte biler - bilbasen.dk

Skoda Fabia 1,9 TDi 130 RS - brugte biler - bilbasen.dk

Just ask if there is anything in the danish text that you dont understand.

Best Regards

Morten

Hey Morten,

All VRs cars have the same brakes as standard but a popular upgrade is the 312 mm kit from an Audi TT.

The silver car as aftermarket alloys - much prefer the originals.

Cheers!

Yeah i know about the alloys.

I work at VW/Audi, so can get them fairly cheap.

What parts are needed for the TT kit?

And what other things can you do enhance handling and braking?

What is a PD160 Intake?

What about chipping and a bigger turbo, are there solutions for this?

Best Regards Morten

Best solution for chipping and bigger turbo is....don't do it.

Get a car that's fast enough for you in the first place.

Every single post you have written on this forum is negative. :finger: Why so negative??

HAve you fitted hybrid turbos or chipped your car?

I know my car is faster and more reliable than a hell of alot of more expensive sports machinary. I have enjoyed spending every penny :P

What do you base your theory on not chipping and modding the fabia on ?

I have found a lot of the infos.

What about R32 brakes?

Cant really find anything about bigger turbo?

How much can the car be chipped without pressing the engine to much, with the PD160 intake and green filter?

What about ECO chipping, anyone fitted a ECO chip, that reduce power a little but makes MPG alot better?

Update:

Found some infos regarding some bigger brakes:

Audi TT 334*32mm 5*100 2 pistons http://zeecue.dk/Brake/TT.jpg

Vw Golf 4 R32 334*32mm 5*100 2 pistons http://zeecue.dk/Brake/R32.jpg

Seat Leon Cupra R 323*28mm 5*100 4 piston http://zeecue.dk/Brake/CupraR.jpg

Will they all fit the Fabia RS, and what about wheel size?
