Going Italian!

Sounds like a great deal you got there.

I loved the Panda 100 when I test drove one a few months ago but the dealer couldn't do a deal anywhere near that good, even on the ex demo car.

I've covered about 100 miles in it so far and neither Jess (2 1/2) or the other half have been in it yet  The new child seat will be going in it when the wind and rain stops and we'll be doing a couple of 140 mile trip in it at the weekend.

My thoughts so far are that it's a hoot to drive on fast B roads and A roads and also pretty relaxed if you want to cruise along motorways/dual carriageways thanks to a 6th gear. The only real concerns with taking it to Germany would be that the boot is pretty small and the fuel tank is also only 35 litres so you might be stopping every 300ish miles. I'll keep you updated as I pile some more miles on it :D

Chris

Ooh, the gear kn0b is very CTR...

Welcome to the Panda owners club

Maybe we need a sub-forum :D

Love the car Chris.

I expect the handling isn't far off a CTR either ! ;)

I got it for £7695 + £360 for metallic paint so the princely sum of £8055. Not bad for a 3 month old car with 1 mile on the clock :D:rofl: Looking on Autotrader and Fiat's used car list there weren't any that were anywhere close to that.

Best the salesman could do on a brand new factory order was £9,500 (RRP £10,610), but Jamjar have them listed at £8165 OTR if I remember right.

thats a cracking price Chris , could be tempted myself a that price , did they have anymore in stock ?

They have one left at that price IIRC which is their demo car. It's black and I think had 35 miles on the clock when I drove it....

Chris

wow that looks really good love it

nice car Chris, and a cracking price...

I test drove the demonstrator at our local garage for a whole afternoon, and it put a big smile on my face, great fun down your favorite country lane ;)

There's two contenders currently on AutoTrader, nationally.

A pre-reg 56 plate with 1 mile at £6994 and the same listed as a '2007' at £7695: Autotrader - FIAT PANDA 1400 cc 1.4 16v 100HP 5dr and Autotrader - Fiat Panda 1.4 litre 100HP

Go on Ric, could be the car you're looking for :D

The second one is at the dealership where I bought mine from so I think it's a 2007 on a '57 :D You'll have to add on £360 for metallic paint though to that price...

Chris

Guessed it might be Chris, as it fitted in about what you were saying about the extra metallic cost etc :)

Steve

If I were in the position to change, although I am a diesel man, I would seriously consider one of these...

A nice red one would do me thank you.

Chris

...

How are you finding it so far, have you got any kids :) and "would" you as opposed to could you, load up the Mrs and 2 kids and take them to germany in it for a week (or would you like to take my Mrs? very clean, 1 careful owner, lovely pert boobies).

:rofl::rofl:

I love the Panda 100. I put very serious thought into buying one of these a little while ago.

Looks really nice + bargain price.

Enjoy:thumbup:

Looks a cracking car

Well the car now has 400 miles on it (in 3 days!) which says a lot ;) Still loving the car, although I've found some minor annoyances. Ride is pretty firm and speed bumps are best avoided or rolled over at a snail's pace, but it's still pretty comfortable over most surfaces. A bit of a contrast to the Mondeo, but the improved go-kart handling is worth the minor sacrifice.

Built in Bluetooth handsfree works well with my Nokia but it would appear only Sony Ericsson phones are supported for sync'ing with the built in phone book, reading SMS messages, etc.

Visibly seeing the fuel guage dropping as I'm driving  I thought it was my leaden right foot, but the most I've put in has been £26 of petrol (which is filling from around 3/4 empty tank). Comedy sized probably best describes the tank so while I'm visiting petrol stations frequently, it's not actually costing me very much each time  Engine is also starting to loosen up and I got about 37mpg from the last tank so economy is improving too

And the icing on the cake is that my daughter absolutely loves it, especially when the engine sings above 4k rpm. She's going to get me into trouble though as she keeps saying "More, Daddy, MORE" if I back off. :o

Chris

Love it.... I know of a couple more former Skoda owners looking at them as we speak (not me.... think im going 207 GTI cos I do 50k per year.....)

I love little Fiats, always have for the reason you state above :D

One of the most fun cars I've ever had was a Seicento Sporting, the little 54hp 1.1 engine was a cracker...

This is a car I dare not test drive as if I did I know I'd buy one on the spot

A couple of points, the 500 is a hairdressers car,how do yousay it....gayer than a handbag full of rainbows, but the panda, well i love them, couldn't convince swmbo tho,she ended up with a swift, which is actually very good,93bhp with under 1000kg kerb wieght its quite fun to drive,i do love the panda 100 tho:thumbup:

Glad to hear it's going well Chris.

Still very tempted with one if i were to change.
