cruise control query

Featured Replies

I am hoping some of you knowledgeable people can point me in the right direction.

I have recently downsized from a Honda Accord 2.0vtec to my Fabia Elegance. Both have cruise control but the Honda's had one distinct advantage over Furby. Whilst in cruise, if I just touched (not pressed) either the brake or clutch pedals, it would dis-engage. But the Furby I have to actually depress either pedal slightly to make it dis-engage.

Is there a microswitch(s) I can adjust somewhere to to make it more like the Honda. Other than that, I think my little Skoda is brill:cool:.

TIA

Have you tried sliding the cruise control switch on the stalk halfway between on and off because this also cancels the cruise.

Saves showing your brake lights to motorists behind you.

Another question, is there supposed to be a warning lamp or something when it's engaged?

Nah, no warning light.

Hi, no warning light but if you've only recently got the Furby there is a number of other little foibles you may not know about............

If you have your front screen wipers on and select reverse, the rear wiper gives a single sweep automatically.

When parked with the ignition off, if you operate your turn signal then the front and rear sidelights on either left or right side, will come on as parking lights.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that, had the furby a fortnight today, and up to now, I really am impressed with it, especially with the 42mpg and the heated seats. Knew about the wipers, but not the winkers. Really must read the handbook. Take it easy folks.
