What's your maximum / minimum range?

Featured Replies

550 miles indicated after filling up after an extended period of uncharacteristically sedate driving from Leeds to Skye at a final average of 47.8mpg, last week. And in case anyone's wondering, that's in a 2.0 fsi Octavia Estate. The minimum is not worth mentioning...

Driving like a nun in my VRS this week, averaging 40.5mpg at the moment!

I am hoping to hit 450+ miles

Indeed who needs a diesel, makes for boring driving though

Mates got a 330d and drives it like he stole it but still sees 40+ mpg, does push me towards a diesel but given the price difference in fuel now I am sure there is not much in it.

I et about 380-400 before the reminder light comes on to refuel. I don't do many long hauls in my 2.0tfsi though and I don't go that slow. I tend to cruise at a reasonable speed, but nowhere near "attention" territory. ;)

Rather OT, but my Golf III estate 1.9 (90bhp) TDI always does over 500 miles on a 55 litre tankful, 550+ on a good day. Not yet had the guts to wait until 600; I think it would just about squeek in on a good day, but would be running on fumes.

If I put in the higher octane I regularly see 400 plus. Last week I was a bit frugal and saw 450 miles. Well pleased but that's driving like an old man:D with the average mpg showing 40 !!

If driven properly I don't get a chance to look at those small little digits:thumbup:
