Modification Friendly insurance!

Featured Replies

My VRS is soon to remapped with various mods.

Any recommendations of insurers that are happy to quote sensibly on non standard cars?

Chriss Knott all the way for me.

Sky insurance were over £200 cheaper than anyone else for me. Young with mods in my sig.

Me too highly recommended

Liverpool Victoria are pretty good with anything except lairy bodykits (exception raised because I don't know they are, not because they're necessarily not).

Big discounts available if you're in the Civil Service Motoring Association (Eligable if you're employed in British Civil Service or a qualifying ex-CS organisation, like British Telecom, or have a family member who's in CSMA).

Admiral & Elephant, and try Brentacre too

Give Adrian Flux a call. Mine worked out marginally cheaper than I was paying for the standard car. I am an old git though.

I'm with Flux, and will be again next year as they just quoted ok again, but I am also an old scrote, and live in Norfolk - Revo'd 4x4 with 312mm brakes and 3 points £365. I paid that much for the car when standard once:eek:

bump on sky insurance im on a supra twin turbo now for 540 a year. im 26 with 6 yrs ncd

Im with Andrian Flux also. Policy is covered by Highway i think. They were on of the only companys who offered like for like cover which was important to me. If some git hits me, i dont want standard wheels, suspension etc put back on. Pretty good on price also.

25 with 3 years NCD.

Garry

I just called sky for a quote

got as far as the dragon box and was told that they cant insure me:(

Admiral / Elephant / Bell (all the same company) are supposed to be very good. My mate has his Astra VXR (Remapped + Exhaust) with them and it seems very reasonable.

They are all the same company but the premium can vary somewhat between them but they will try to match so you can play them off against each other a bit.
