Fuel Filter Renewal

Featured Replies

HI ..EVERYONE.....I AM A COMPLETE NEWCOMER TO WORKING ON CARS BUT I GOT MY R REG FELLY A 1.3 LXI MPI TWO WEEKS AGO AND A HAYNES MANUAL

AND SO FAR I HAVE DONE ...OIL/FILTER CHANGE, AIR FILTER CHANGE, SPARK PLUGS , CHANGED THERMOSTAT AND SENSOR, RENEWED COOLENT , SET VALVE CLEARANCES AND STOPPED MY EXHAUST CLANGING AGAINS THE REAR AXLE BEAM........

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A GO A THE FEUL FILTER......IVE HEARD THIS IS A TOUGHY SO COULD YOU GUYS AND LADIES GIVE ME SOME WORDS OF WISDOM ON TOOLS TO USE AND ANY UNEXPECTED THINGS THAT MAY HAPPEN:rolleyes: YOUR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY RECIEVED......

the bent nosed pliers you can get from halfords worked a treat for me, only like £6 but a serious life saver, spent ages trying to do it with a normal set but these really helped, make sure you have some screw jubilee clips handy as these really are essential, the only expecting that that happened was not depressuring the fuel system properly for me so i got petrol all over my fingers!
