Right now I' m using for my RS a Liqui Moly 5W30

What do you recommend for the ASZ engine:

5W40

5W30

or

0w30 ?? and WHY?

Which manufacturer?

You MUST use an oil which meets specification VW 505 01. If the particular Liquid Moly 5W-30 you are using meets that specification then all is OK. The first thread below lists VW 505 01 oils. The second thread lists oils which meet spec VW 507 00 and those are OK too since that later spec exceeds the requirements for 505 01.

So..what to choose? 505 01 or 507 00? I want the best - in terms of lubrication and oil consumption

505.01 is the correct oil for a fixed service PD diesel like yours.

I use Fuchs from Oilman on this forum, Quantum (VW's own brand) is obviously good aswell and a lot of owners on here rate Millers XFE-PD as a cheaper option.

They've all been tested to the correct spec and will be fine with Millers offering the best value for money.
