Oh dear, wikipedia has gone wrong...

Featured Replies

Whilst bored at work I decided to find out how the VW TDI engine actually worked. Only then did I come across this in the VRS section:

The in gear acceleration times are 50-70 mph in 5.6 seconds, quicker than BMW's 330i which needs 6.0 seconds. 20-40 mph in 2.4 seconds is as quick as the Lotus Elise 111R. Fabias are also renowned for beating the roadrunner but only if chased by a coyote attached to some ACME rockets.[/b'] Despite this the Fabia vRS can achieve better than 5.4 L/100 km (52 mpg imp/44 mpg US). If driven carefully, some drivers have experienced MPG rates of 68 mpg+ over long periods.

Looks like I'm not the only one bored at work!

Meh, nevermind. Was chatting on MSN to a mate who pointed it out, turns out he edited it for my amusement but has changed it back now!

"It is rumoured that eventually a 1.4 TSI running at 125 bhp (93 kW) will become the range topping petrol for the planned estate version and that the next generation vRS will also receive the 1.4 TSI to the tune of 170 bhp (127 kW)[13]. The release date for the New Fabia vRS has been cited as May 2008 by some Škoda UK dealers, although specs are unknown.[citation needed]"

I love Wiki, and the fact that anyone can alter entries on there. My favourite ever was the entry for Cheryl Cole (sadly now fixed) which used to read:

“Cheryl Ann Cole, neé Tweedy, (born 30 June 1983) is an English singer and member of the girl group Girls Aloud. She is married to the Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole, the marriage is one of convenience due to Cole being a homosexual and Tweedy being a racist.”
