Octy-2 keys came with paper slips that have bar code and numbers printed on them. Just wondering what these number mean. Can I discard them or will these numbers help me do anything interesting with VAG-COM,etc?

Nothing important on them as far as I know, just the part number for the remote.

If you have a plastic tag then that is the one you should keep.

often barcodes on keysets are used to 'marry' the keys to the car when programming at end-of-line in the build process, i.e. you scan the keys, scan the car and it programmes the ECU's/Alarms to only start with those keys

id personally keep it with the log book juat in case.
