Hi,anybody out there got any details on the 2009 Vrs Tdi apart from it getting the CR engine..........DSG,revised dash etc etc???

I've heard DSG may be an option when the CR comes in but don't expect any styling changes or revised dash as I believe Skoda are focusing on the launch of the Superb first.

There may well be a mild facelift although this is only speculation atm.

Don't get any ideas Steve, the DSG box has a much lower torque limit. So either less tuning fun to be had or more clutch plate bills!

The 2009 RS also gets an uprated brakesystem and other dampersettings.

I expect the 345mm discs up front, as in the latest Seat Leon Cupra/Audi S3. And hope for dampers à la FSD

Superb might get a new 2.0TFSI 155kW/350Nm (258 lbs-ft) so why not the Octavia RS.

The TCM has a lower torque limit, not the box, tuning can be done on DSG's with big power and torque gains to be had.

Have any figures for the new engine been published yet? Also any idea when it will be available? I am assuming from the topic title it will not be til 2009.
