Replacement for the Octy 4x4

Featured Replies

A few on here have known that I have been looking at a certain car to replace my rather special 350 bhp Octy 4x4. Ive had the car for a few days to see if I liked it & today we did the deal.

So if anyones in suspense its a Modified Nissan 350 Zed , :eek::eek: some will say, totally different to the 4x4, definately slower on the twisties but an absolute blast to drive & with around 475 bhp on tap it will be fun.

I intend to give it a good test to the South of France & back in a few weeks & if its as good as I think it will be then the Octy will be sold.

We still have 2 other Skodas so will still be lurking around here

Will this be the chariot of choice for tomorrow Stuart?

If you needed to know, you would ;)

I do have a softspot for the zed, good luck with it mate! :thumbup:

Enjoy the Z, Stuart. Hopefully the gearbox has also been modified with the power hike as it seems to be the weakest link in the standard package. :thumbup:

Ive had a long chat with another tuner to the one who built the car & let them spend a few hours checking it out. It came back with a clean bill of health. I was worried about the transmission but they consider the stock transmissions to be very strong as do the guys who built it. There are cars running well over 600 bhp at the wheels on std boxes so this car should be no problem. Like most cars when tuned there are weak points but on the zed it appears the driveshafts that go first. Only time will tell

Goodwood.

Bumped into Mr H there, armed with his camera and more than ready for a Bacon buttie by the looks of it. :rofl:

But settled for a cheeseburglar and a cup of coffee.

Finally left at 3 when my fingers stopped working. It was bleedin cold.

Nice to see you by the way. Short but sweet. ;)

We just couldn't bear it any more. Far too cold.

You didn't see me - I saw you :rofl::rofl:
