Mudflaps for Octavia VRS Estate

Featured Replies

I fitted Skoda front and rear mudflaps to my Fabia VRs with a little modification to the rear ones and they looked fine.

Can Skoda mudflaps be fitted to a Octavia VRS Estate ? I assume fronts will be OK but what about rears ?

Its really muddy where I live !

Yes; OEM Octy II mudflaps can be fitted to a vRS with a degree of manipulation as the fit to the bumper is not quite perfect (vRS bumper is different).

An excellent alternative are RallyFlapz that are custom made for the vRS which can be bought here;-

Ok Done it.

The standard front mudflaps fit perfectly - took me about 15mins to fit.

The standard rears will go on but you have to reposition one of the screw holes on the flaps itself and bend then more the follow the line of the lowre part of the rear bumper. Took about 45mins inc removing rear wheels for access.

Look OK to me despite the not quite perfect fit. Good value in comparison to other OEM mudflaps too, IMO.

Hi Jules, thanks for the update, its the next job to do when I get a day off !!!

Good luck with the mudflaps. If its any help, the Octavia rears are a million times easier to fit than the standard fronts were on my wife's Freelander 2 - really awkward they were- requiring drills and saws !

Mine came with front mudflaps - have to say, having taken them on and off they seem a perfect fit, despite Skoda denying they are compatible with the vRS.

May buy some rear flaps to experiment with :)

Been thinking about some for mine as I get stripes down the side of mine at the moment. Anyone got flaps fitted to their blue vrs and any photos?

I'd be tempted with the RallyFlapz in blue if they made some slightly less "rally" looking ones.

The car in the e-bay item is blue see here;-

Here's a pic of my car with 'original' rally flaps; yes they do look quite 'Rally' ;-

and here is a later pic with about 25mm cut off the length of the rear flaps, looking less 'Rally' and also less likely to get trapped on a kerb when reversing;-

I hope this helps.

If it's of any interest the standard rear flaps are hardly worth having. They are so short that they stop very little mud getting on to the rear of the car. I'm thinking of extending mine or replacing them. I'm wondering if the rally flaps will fit a L&K.

Here's my blue vRS with the black rally flapz on, I think they look a lot more discreet than the matching colour ones.

A few people have said they look nice. HTH

I've heard the same. If you notice in the second picture I posted above thst the cars is quite dirty. I have found that the rally flapz do stop a lot of the heavy mud sticking to the body, especially at the rear. You still get the dirt that is in the spray sticking to the car, but thats easy to wash off.

Those black Rallyz do look a lot better than the blue ones. Although I'd fit in better on the mean streets of Torbay with the blue ones :)
