so when i lock the car i press it twice but still gose off when it wants to. it can be fine and sit ther quite happly but the off it gose agen duno what to do have even tried disconecting battery and reconnecting it in morning .. what you guys think

I have this with mine. I only get it when i leave the phone charger plugged in (no phone) , charger not plugged in it`s fine. Must be drawing juice. Hope this helps.

When I had my car into the Scoda dealers for for a small repair got chatting to customer in reception aria he had been having similar problems and the garage had traced it to a faulty alarm box by that I mean the bit that makes all the noise when the alarm goes off. I think he told the guy it was somewhere under one of the front wings

You could also check that there are no stray insects or spiders in the car. They have been know to set the thing off.

Is anyone else thinking faulty interior monitor?????

Get the car fault code scanned and go from there.

I think (but I'm not 100% sure) that the double press of the lock-it button disables the interior motion sensors but not the alarm in its entirety.

If that's the case, I'd check any pin switches, maybe start with the bonnet and the boot. Check the wiring going to them and make sure there're no shorts.

On one car I had, the alarm kept going off due to an earthing problem. So check the earthing from the alarm to the bodywork and from there to the battery.

The Battery earth clamp is done up tight, right? ;)

If deactivating the alarm interior monitoring still results in the alarm going off, then my guess is that the rear washer hose has popped off and has soaked the boot switch. Is it possible the bonnet isn't closed properly?

:)

My bonnet switch was catching and not working properly so a big squirt of WD40 on it did the trick. alarm has beenfine since!
