I have a 2001 fabia classic 1.9sdi and the heating control panal lights flash on and off and the air recirculation and air con buttons turn them selfs off to coincide with the flashing does anyone know the reason for this ? is it telling me there is a diagnostic fault ?

I would try a search for Flap Motor problems.

To confirm it will normally require a diagnostic check.

It sounds like you have an electrical short somewhere!

If you find someone local to you with VAG-COM then they can do a fault scan and see if any of the parts have logged a fault. Certainly doesn't sound right!!!
