Has anyone tried to put the RNS510 1020/2022 firmware on it ?

No - Not been brave enough yet.

It would be an expensive doorstop if it went wrong.

From the limited comments I read I think we have this already.

Need to try the setup menu tweak to confirm though.

Do i need a antenna adapter or will the org. Skoda just fit. I have only one.

Adapter like this:

The Octavia is fitted with a single antenna however the Columbus is equipped for Diversity.

You can plug your existing antenna into the inner of the two connectors on the back of the Columbus and it will work fine. You will have a fault code that only one is connected but this is no problem.

Bought this car 2 months ago. (Skoda Octavia 1.5 TSI DSG) and from couple of weeks ago i hear some cracking sounds when i press the brake pedal. Its not constant, sometimes it's there sometimes it's not but quite annoying. I also uploaded a video to hear the cracking. The service said that it's "normal" but this should not happen on a new car. Anyone experienced such issues? Also tried disabling the "auto hold" option but still this issue persists.

Hi, I've a problem with the SOS module in my 2022 Kamiq 1.0l . Replaced the battery at great cost but made no difference to the fault , sometimes there and other times message on dash and a red led . I can live without it but it also seems to mute the Bluetooth microphone in the car . I've tried to untick handsfree phone in menu but it reconnects to the muted microphone every time unless I manually select my Bluetooth earpiece . I want to use the Android Auto for navigation but not the Bluetooth

Went to get in the car this afternoon after it had been parked in the sun all day and I swear it never had this gap above the airbag before?! Has something moved? Could someone take a pic of their airbag to compare? It’s the standard round wheel and not the facelift one. I’m away with work at the minute otherwise I would remove it and have a better look. Pushing it does nothing other than sound the horn! Has something fallen off or moved or have I just never noticed it before!

Hi all, The other day I ground to a halt (on a busy motorway junction) with 100 miles left on the fuel gauge and none in the tank, and after filling the tank and driving another 100ish miles the tank is indicating full, the level hasn't moved leading me to believe it has a fuel gauge sender issue. It's always been accurate but after the recent spell of hot weather the gauge has stopped working. Would anyone be able to advise the correct part number so I can research replacements? Or let me know

Hello, I activated Smart Link on my swing 3 radio, at Skoda Octavia mk3 MY 2018, so I want to share with everyone how it can be done. DISCLAIMER: You do it at your rensponsability, is not easy to do, and you can mess things out, possible brick you device. Do it only if you have expereince in this kind of activity. Physical tools needed: Tool for removing radio 4 pieces, just google "VAG radio removal tool", cost about 1€. CH341A Mini Programmer, cost about 10€. PC/Laptop Philips screwdriver
