So, after the demise of my 24" Dell last week I need to find a new monitor (How come this always happens when you put money aside for something else)

Anybody got any reccomendations

Resolution must be at least 1920 x 1200 because of my SLi setup, 24" or there abouts, US ports would be nice and as fast a response time as possible. I was thinking of having a look at some of the Viewsonic's as they seem to have really good response times.

It's used for Business (well the business of 3D gaming ) hance wanting good response times and fairly high resolution. Overthe weekend I was using an old unbranded 15" TFT connected with Dsub and playing COD4 was a nightmare, it was like trying to shoot a pixel and I had to knock the SLi off etc and I forgot I have the rate ramped up and am using fixed FPS for it .....

What have people got or do they reccomend?

Is cheaper better? I ask because you can often get Dell monitors really really cheap / at a good discount.

No im currently on a 22" 1680x1050... new monitor will be on the cards this year sometime

Problem with the 27" is that its the same 1920x1200 res as the 24" so lower dot-pitch to the 24"

i would say either grab another 24, or go for 30

I had a 2407, nice monitor, before my boy came in and planted a Force FX Yoda lightsaber into it whilst showing me some "jedi" moves (He's only 6 so I bit my lip as he was mortified).

Xav, yes, I meant USB Maybe I should give up saving for an MFD3 and buy a dell 30" then :)

Just waiting for the Insurance to give the nod to say they are coughing up.

We got a 2407 in for review actually, but IMO there's better 24s out there - both in terms of features and price.

On COD4, is it me, or is there an increase of bunnyhopping ***** on every server. I'm sure I don't remember anything in section battle drills that indicated you must leap 5 ft in the air before unloading on someone.

Did you see the guy on the MUK server the other night we were on, Big someone or other, 197 kills and the next closest were you, me and another brisky bod with around 40 ish, something just ain't Kosher with that

Yeah... its inevitable though with any online game... When badlands was released for TF2, it didnt take long for people to find exploits to hide "under" the map, and build a sentry gun that could shoot everyone in the map.

hopefully a patch should close any loopholes they find.. theres a rumor of some new MP maps coming too
