PD160 and green cotton filter fitted.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Took a trip to RossvRS house tonight to get the pd160 and green cotton air filter fitted, after handing over £40 I drove back home and opended the car up.

The car pulls really well and comes alive at 3000rpm the car warm but really impressed so far, wonder if it will come alive when the engine is a bit colder.

Got to say really impressed that a mod like this can transform the driving experiance of the car.

Can you feel yourself losing the grip on that slippery slope? ;)

I'm not far from the bottom of it now.

The intake comes from a Seat dealer and the filter can be bought from quite a few of the site sponsers. However, I doubt you will notice little difference in performance if your engine is standard.

Use the handy search function to assist you in this endevour for more information ;)

iv got a remap but apart from that tis standard

be prepared to shell out at least £70 from Seat through:thumbdwn:

Ross showed me his receipt for the pd160 and it was some stupid amount of money a couple of years ago something like £20+.

Seat are cottoning on that the pd160 is a popular mod for another vag car.

I'll be fitting my PD160 this weekend gone for a Jetex filter though as I've used them in all the VAG cars we've owned and been very pleased :)

Any tips to fitting?

Put plasters over your knuckles before you start. That way you won't tear them apart like I did.

Don't drop any screws into the engine compartment ;)

There's a good 'How to..' guide on here with pictures and everything, a search should bring it up no problem.

Edit: Here you go...
