Another mongrel mpg record

Featured Replies

I don't care what it's doing in reality, but after a fairly pleasant gentle commute I ended up doing the mpg pictured below! 93.2!!! I even saw 94 at one point up the climb up to where I live knocked a bit off.

Took a bit of a shot from further back to show how I'd done 467 miles since filling up (just to first click + nearest £) so I reckon I will get 600 out of this tank before the buzzer goes off. A pootle to Newbury tomorrow will confirm that. :D

Thats just it, I wasn't going slow. Doing 50mph in a 40 zone at times. [cough! indicated, and my speedo over reads by 25%..... cough!]

Its just a matter of being in the right gear and doing the "ease off uphills, gain speed downhills" - Aside from that it was just plodding along at under 1500rpm, totally off-boost = maximum economy. :)

Pretty good going Jason, I managed 63MPG on my 35 mile commute and I thought that was good.

Nice work! You shouldn't be posting in the Fabia forum though, that's another animal altogether! ;)

Nice one mate, wish I could get that!
