Featured Replies

congrats mate, thats a thing I'm not looking forward to and that is kids, looks like when we have kids the vRS willl be getting traded for something a bit more suitable.

No problem getting everything into the Fabia 99% of the time (although double buggy does mean you lose rear visibility) wife used to get all shopping in too.

The 1% problem times would be holidays/going away.I had an Octavia though so we just used that then.

Real problems arrive when you get the bigger car seats when they get older.Definately no room for anyone else then in the middle and we needed that space.

Bottom line is...everything fits no problem:thumbup:.

Congratulations!

Both my wife and I have Furbies, and we have one of these for our little one:

As long as we take the parcel shelf out, we can fit it and the carry cot that goes with it into the boot without any trouble. Even something like this:

Will actually fold smaller, so should fit just as easily. You'll need to make sure whatever you get is suitable from birth, of course! We found that we could get round the lack of parcel shelf by fitting a dog guard so that we can pile stuff like shopping above the level of the back seats without worrying about it falling on top of the baby! It might not be as elegant as getting an estate, but we felt there's something a bit wrong in looking for a new car to fit a pushchair!

The other bit of advice (sorry!) is to get Isofix child seats, or failing that, ones with bases that strap in and stay in the car - they make life one hundred million billion times easier (at least! ;):D )

Congrats & good luck!

but we felt there's something a bit wrong in looking for a new car to fit a pushchair!

Nothing wrong with that provided you buy the right car! SWMBO & I did this! :D Bought the Furby as our Polo's only a 3 door - everyone said we were mad but we've ended up with a 1.9TDi which is more practical with 5 doors and split fold rear seats, so we're the ones laughing the longest!! :D

To be honest, you can fit loads in the back of the Fabia. And I agree with other posters, get isofix seats, or a Mamas & Papas group 0 car seat as the base can stay in the car.

thanks for all replies and i'll forward suggestions to the boss

Congratulations on your news. How about a roof box for the Fabia? Or a small trailer?
