Coolant temp sensor

Featured Replies

After reading various articles on here i have just received the temp sensor which is green. It does not fit!! The one on car is a blue plug and completely square on connecter end where as the green one is square and rounded..Car is tdi 1.9 octi 110bhp on 1999 t plate..Any idea of part number i need please?? Cheers.

Are you sure your looking at the correct temp sensor? My 2001 110TDi had a black sensor which I replaced with a new green one.

The sensor should be in the pipework to the right hand side of the engine (when viewed from the front).

I'll see if I can find a picture to point out where the green temp sensor belongs.

I am sure he is, yours is a facelift Octavia, the OPs is a pre facelift and they are a square plug as described similar to the Felicia 1.3. Don't know the part number, but if you look closely you will see it stamped on the metal part of the sensor close to where it joins the platic part.
