The US president was in Zagreb Croatia this Friday and Saturday, until around 1300hrs local time, then his entourage left for the airport. These couple of shots show one of the many road blocks set up around our area, it set up at the entrance to a bridge that spans a roadway from Zagreb city to the airport. Also on this small overpass is the main entrance to the US Embassy which can be seen in the distance, left of the digger machine, hence the police in force protecting the bridge, and the roadway. Notice the Octy estate used by the Croatian police, these Octy are prevalent all over Croatia . Sorry about quality, but taken by Mobile, on a overcast day. On way home we believe we have caught the Airforce 1 in camera. There were police lining every 100 meters in every direction, from the roadway's to the flight path, garages along his route were also well policed and closed temporarily. There seemed only a small convoy when he departed, however his cavalcade on arrival, consisted of 70 cars !! and there were 25 !!! aircraft that landed for his visit of less than two days. It effected us only that we have to pass the US embassy each day going into the city, this was just one of those days.

Whilst the Starlifter's used to be common in Europe, not so much now, being replaced by Boeing C -17

I believe Starlifter's are used to transport the entourage's vehicles.

Thanks for the ID on the aircraft, it was only about 4 seconds to stop car and take pic before it was gone.

There were F16s flying all over us all morning, he brought 2 we understand. May have seen one returning to airfield, but again too quick.

Looking at your link to a Starlifter, could have been but it had something like a dish under the fuselage, between wings and tail, when we first set eyes on it. Then of course seconds later the pic is not clear enough to see I think, could have been mistaken, all too quick.

The Skoda is increasingly in use over here for the emergency services - more the police and medics rather than fire support but it's a start to Octavia world domination!
