For months my octy vRS creaked and groaned when accelerating and braking, it then became worse and does it even on the smallest bumps or when you steer at low speeds. Suspected the anti-roll bar due to the info I found on this site.

I have had new drop links, new bushes and had the bushes removed and greased on three trips to the dealer - fixed the problem for 10 mins and then back with vengeance. Had the car on the ramp and the noise is from the passenger side mount (as far as we could tell).

They are now getting me a new anti-roll bar to try, can anyone offer any further advice or am I going in the right direction?

Must say the dealer has been fantastic about sorting the problem.

Had this on the 4x4, like you said dealer (mine different) was fab over rectifiying even after I fitted suspension mods (reported issue before I did fitting). Cured for a few miles then came and went randomly.

This morning in the RS it sounds like a 100 year old bed. Guess I'll be in there while the ink is still wet from my service.

If I can leaver any more information; I'll let you know.

This sounds just like my octy vRS, my dealer replaced the anti roll bar and bushes and this seems to have done the trick.

My car is goin into dealers 2moro regarding this problem.

This sounds very familiar. I'll post when I have some more info ie I can't remember all the gubbins my mechanic said :confused: but it's 'known' apparently.

Modified anti roll bar bushes are available to sort this problem.

Been about on TT and Audi A3 for years now.

Removal and greasing will cure but if your going to the trouble to take em off might aswell replace them.

Wheel alignment will need checking/adjusting.

New ARB and bushes now fitted and the noise has gone
