Felicia 1.9 D Overheating Problem

Featured Replies

Hi, I have just bought a felicia 1.9 diesel with 109,000 miles on the clock,

after driving it 150 miles i have noticed it has started overheating and preasureising in the expantion tank, when i release the cap a hole lot of air comes out, The small hose from the cylinder head to the tank seems to be spitting, the top hose to the rad is hot but the one at the bottom is cold, I have had the thermostat out and checked it it seems to be opening allright, and the water pump seens to be working, I am now stumped Anyone got any ideas ;) Are these common for overheating!

Either a coolant leak or head gasket going. Fill it up with water and look for a leak

Try replacing the thermostat.

:iagree:

It's the most likely cause, and the cheapest to fix.

If your having the thermostat out again , I would backflush the radiator.
