Boot liner for 2008 Hatchback

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I am after a rubber/plastic boot liner for my 2008 Octy Hatchback.

I saw one on eBay ... SKODA OCTAVIA Saloon 04-on BOOT MAT / LINER ANTI SLIP on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 13-Apr-08 19:35:01 BST)

emailed the guys just to make sure it was the right one and they said it wont fit a brand new octavia !

Has the shape changed or do they not know what they are talking about ?

I was under the impression that everything is the same since '04 but they do mention its for a Saloon not hatchback so perhaps its European ?

Ta.

Thanks for the reply.

The one I posted above looks exactly the same as yours but for some reason they are saying that it WONT fit. I emailed them again just to make sure and they are adamant that it will NOT fit.

I really want one with Anti-Slip if possible.

Is there such a thing as an Octavia Saloon or have they got it wrong ?

I would imagine the differences would be slight but critical. A centimetre too long or wide and it wouldn't sit flat.

Looks like my only option is to purchase a pukka Skoda one :(

They must have changed the boot design recently.

Thanks.

The Genuine Skoda parts are fairly reasonably priced, and don't look too shabby either

Probably the best bet to get one from them

I have the skoda rubber one in my boot. Cost around £50 and it fits very well (also has a nice Octavia logo on it!). Provides a good anti slip surface although it is only a mat on not a tray so it would not contain a spill of any liquid. Skoda also do a plastic tray for a similar price. I went for the mat because I thought the plastic tray might be a bit noisy with things knocking around in it.

I got my rigid(ish) plastic one from a place in Bradford. Made for Octavia II hatch. I'll try to dig out the details.

EDIT: Worth reading this thread:

I got the same tray. Fits almost perfectly, nothing worth complaining about.

Gotta say its brill for keeping boot safe from spills. As for non-slip, I put some leftover cheap underlay in the boot, which acts good enough as a non-slip surface!

@vimto2000

Have you got a 2008 model ?

I still have not been able to sort out if the ones on eBay will fit or not. Most of them say for a saloon. I have emailed several sellers. Some say they will fit others say they wont.

Dont want to be spending twice as much on a legit skoda one if I can get equivelent off ebay.

Ta.

No, sorry mine is a MY2007.

A lot of the ones on ebay are for the MKI.

those mats quieten the fecker down as well, well impressed with mine, saves the vomit seeping in the std carpet, carpet, more like paper

I got one from Skoda. It wasn't overly expensive.

Looks like my only option is to purchase a pukka Skoda one :(

They must have changed the boot design recently.

Thanks.

I got a e-bay purchased one about 18 months ago for my old Estate, fits a treat in my new hatch, so I don't think the boot design has changed !!
