Seems like a great informitive site,with plenty of people with lots of knowledge.MY background;I currently have a 99 audi s3 which i bought in jan/feb this year,i've had it dyno tested twice,amd readings where 267.7bhp and 263lb/t running 1 bar.Apparently it had been chipped by a previous owner and it's probably a abt re-map/chip.i've fitted a samco intake hose and have a better front mounted intercooler to go on in the next few weeks.

I'm interested in hearing anyones views on improving my current spec to around 300hp.thanks for the help,regards Ryan

not totally sure what the car has had done to it??I'm not totally sure who has done the re-map but yes is putting out some v.good figures at only 1 bar boost.(standard 0.9 bar)

Also should mention thats it's a ex-audi press car (cough) so who knows what it might have had done to it in the past!!

The only reason i found out it had been tinkered with is that a took it for a revo-remap and they couldn't upload it because of the chip/encryption they took it out and thought that it felt as fast as the tuners leon cupra r which had been revo'd ,they gave it a dyno run and found out why.

I was not happy with 268bhp evidently.

DWG the S3 has 225 BHP standard, it has twin intercoolers and IIRC it also has different forged pistons to say a Leon Cupra R or a TT so 268 BHP for a chip or remap is about right.

Ryan, you may want to have a look at seatcupra.net, some of the guy's with Cupra R's are getting close to the 300 bhp mark and I think there are couple of Ibiza that are putting out well in excess of 300, but thats after a IHI turbo upgrade.

my car is a 210 s3 not a later 225 version,i don't think the standard injectors can take 300hp or the k04.Normal re-maps put out 1.4 bar so i'm happy with mine at 1 bar.thanks for the warm welcome

I was a Jabba when then remapped and fitted their boost controller to an LCR....286BHP!

Needless to say chap was pleased.

I'm sure that a s3/leon cupra r can put out 280bhp with the standard injectors and k04 but it's about the limit.I bet the boost was somewhere near 1.4 bar aswell,like i said i'm happy with mine mildly tweaked to 1 bar.
