Losing Patience

Featured Replies

1st thread please be patient no pun intended, Had the Fabia vrs now for six weeks excellent car perfomace just fed up of taking it back due to both rear door seals replaced, wheel allignment correction, driver seat belt doesnt retract, noise coming from rear whilst in reverse. Does it get any better?

Yes I am sure it will get better :) Leaking doors is a common complaint, thestd bushes wear pretty quick which can lead to wheel allignment problems if not sorted quickly and or done when bushes replaced, and the back breaks moo in reverse nothing to worry about and if you search not sure if there is a pikey mod to sort. All in all I would guess you have he most common faults out of the way :D Welcometo Brisky btw

welcome to the forum, I started noticing leaky doors in my vrs too and it was only 7 months old..

I'm wondering how do they fix this problem at skoda because they just replace the seals with the same parts right?

Cheers for the link will probably need this wen warranty runs out

Seat belt issue is actually covered in your owners manual.

It states regular cleaning of your belts is required. Fluff from your clothes gets caught in the seat belt and when the rear belt retracts this gets caught on the metal guide loop behind the b pillar trim. The fluff causes excess friction which slows the belt down.

It is only because the car is so good that you notice the little faults, although very annoying. Have a search around the forums, all of the things you mention have resolutions. I have had 10 different hire cars inbetween getting things sorted and hated all of them. My Fabia relationship is Love and hate. I love the car but hate the small foibles.

More Love than hate i might add.:)

another reason for the slow seatbelt retraction can be that the belt is wet due to your already mentioned rear door leaks, the belt swells slightly slowing retraction
