Alternatives to Toyos on the Octy

Featured Replies

Ok I know tyres have been debated at length but I just wanted to ask if anyone who uses or has used Toyos have tried other tyres on their Octys & what were the differences they found

rumour has it they (toyo) have a new tyre coming out..

i would go p-zero c / corsa.... for ultimate grip

p-zero nero are very good too....

P-Zero - any from that range. I have been very happy with the Assemtrico's, good wear aswell, two trackdays and still alot of miles left on them.

Can't compare but pleased with the Potenza S-03s that I've just fitted, going on previous Subaru experience. Bit more expensive than the Toyos though... Eagle F1s are competing with the Toyos on price, aren't they?

Yep i can concur with Dutch 4x4 about the S-O3s. Very good tyre.

Jus bought another 2 to replace original Contis.

Had Michellin SX-GTs on my saxo which were amazing, not sure what they'd be like on the octy though or indeed whether they do them in the appropriate size. Also

rumour has it they (toyo) have a new tyre coming out..

There is a new T1-R shown on their webby ~ as can be seen on THIS THREAD on Cupranet (where we were debating "T1-R replacing T1-S" vs "Addition to range".

V little info available at the mo though.

;) Rossos 225/45/17`s.

Paul is talking about the 888 (IIRC). Being released next week as an alternative to the Corsas / {Pilot Cups etc. Seen it and the tread pattern is very similar to the Dunlop Formula R. Not an everyday tyres though, won't last more than about 5k miles if you rotate them, much like the ones on mine at the moment :D
