Cruise Control Problem

Featured Replies

Afternoon.

Just spent a few hours fitting cruise control to my mates father's car.

Its a mk1 Octavia with ASV tdi engine.

The cruise has been activated with my laptop and I've checked the function of all the switches through VAG-COM. It recognises cruise switching on, resume, set, clutch being pressed and the brake being pressed. I'm happy that all the wiring in spot on.

Took the car out, turn it on, press the set button and nothing happens.

This is the forth car I've fitted cruise control to, so I'd like to think that I haven't done anything wrong. I've checked the function of all the buttons and there's no issues.

Anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Cheers

Any fault codes?

Does it say G000SG are whatever in the right hand side of the login page for Engine 01?

Have you checked the function of both parts of the brake and clutch switches?

Dont panic.

Sorted the problem.

Placed the white wire of from the CCS harness in the wrong hole in the black connector.

All the switches did work though.

Works a treat now :)

And you were so sure of your wiring :rofl:

Glad you have it sorted anyway.

The white wire goes to the ECU.
