Tail gate rust - got the car back

Featured Replies

Well I picked my Octavia back up from the body shop this afternoon. Looks like a reasonable job has been done, although the boot does not seem to be quite aligned correctly (larger gap on the left). I'll raise that issue with the body shop tomorrow.

It has gained a new Skoda badge on the rear and a replacement Octavia and 1.9 TDi badges (which had been removed by the previous owner).

New rear glass has been fitted, and either the glass is not quite as tall, or it has been mounted a bit higher up in the opening as there appears to be a larger gap at the bottom of the glass.

Rear number plate has been stuck back on (as it previously was).

Car was washed and cleaned inside (although skoda floor mats not fastened back down) I can't complain as that was an added bonus.

It is nice to be back in the 110 TDi, although I did have a loan car of a Fabia 3 1.9 105 TDi (on a 57 plate), which seemed to have less pull lower down in the rev range, but much more sense of acceleration over about 2.2k rpm. Managed to stick about 600 miles on the car since last Tuesday and I only went to work twice in it!

I'll take some pictures over the weekend and post them when I get a chance.
