Maybe I should drive down to Portsmouth, fill up with 102, and drive back. :D

The drive home would be more entertaining than the one down ;)

erm no :o , it's far better if you make it go HALF as far! ;)

Thinking about it, I wonder how long it will be before regular fuel will cost this much, I bet it isn't as far away as we'd like to think?

Yes soon it will cost £100 to fill up no doubt

humm i wonder if work would notice me putting that on the fuel card

deffinatly, scares me how fast I can make a tank full of 98 ron dissapear if I go for a drive at 1 in the morning when the conditions are good

best time, minimal police presence, minimal traffic, and what traffic there is has plenty of space round it and nice bright headlights to warn you well before you'd see it in daylight :) plenty of quiet B roads round here that can be enjoyed under the speed limit

just thinking, a company i use to work for you could only get £100 a day of diesel on the card a day. considering back then i could fill the lorry up for about 80 quid whilst out on the road. well back then the fuel was around 80-85p ish per litre and fuel is now about 30-40p ish more a litre making it about 40 quid more ish per litre, does this mean alot of companies have now put up the limit on the fuel cards?

Dont want to hijack the thread or anything but are all you vRS TFSi owners running on Super or std unleaded. Ive run mine on Super from new and am wondering if im throwing money down the drain (I think super is recommended by Skoda??).

I think I can notice the difference with Super - performance wise & MPG but likewise im wondering if its in my head?

ATB, Jon.

I've run mine on 97RON since I've had it. :)

False economy to run on anything but Super Unleaded imo. Aside from the fact you get better performance, fuel economy should be a little better too

tesco 99 about 90% of the time. I really notice it when swmbo puts 97 in.

I actually think my car performs a bit better on Tesco 99 compared to Vpower.

Plus I like using Tesco because you can stick your card in at the pump which saves on driving downtime :D

Super for me since I've had the car.. the couple of times I've been cought short, so to speak, and had to put in super that's only 97 ron I've noticed the difference compared my normal choice of 99 ron V Power.

Not had chance to try any Tesco 99 ron yet

Has done for my last 2 fill ups :D

that for the disco rather than the fabia i assume?

If so I question your choice of smilie to finish off that statement!

Thats because i'm  :D

anyone dyno'd their TFSI VRs on this rocket fuel??

The handbook says (to paraphrase) "...by all means go above 97/98 RON but there will be no performance benefit".

Not yet, keep threatening to but will want to try some of this stuff on a RR one day.

There would be after the modifications to a spec like Makefish's had been carried out... :D
