How do you clean the dash on a MK2 Octy

Featured Replies

MK2 Octavia

I have some marks on that rough plastic part on the top of the dash near the window air vents .....using a cloth and polish just doesn't work....so how do you clean yours....it's now annoying me and just for the time being the idea of using a flame thrower has been shelved

Any ideas or tips

TIA

Poorboys trim restorer and a decent microfibre cloth. If the area is difficult to get into, try Back to Black in spray form.

For a matt finish, I just use turtle wax interior wipes, they seem to do a good job on both parts of the dash. Just make sure they dont touch the screen because its difficult to remove from the glass.

Avoid armour all as for some reason this leaves a very nasty coating on the screen after using it on the dash.

The TW wipes are just fine, but I currently prefer to use autoglym interior dash and vinyl cleaner spray with a MF cloth and then using the same MF wipe over a small amount of the leather treatment.

This leaves a nice matt lustre without imparting any silicon on the dash :D

I use my daughters baby wipes ! :)

Even water on an MF should do the trick tbh Rob.

I love the silky finish you get with Aerospace 303 protectant!

put a bit of card between the dash and windscreen, spray some ag interior v spray stuff on to a cloth so its damp and wipe it using the card to stop any getting on the windscreen.

A damp lint free cloth.

It's only dust that gets on that bit of the dash and it keeps the nice matte finish too.
